Lazy River Days
“Lazy River Days” is No. 3 in a series I was doing during my last painting spell in the late 90’s, early 2000’s (this one was completed in March 2010) and was the second to last painting I was to do until 2018. A gift for my mom, she had it custom framed and it has been hanging in her room since that same year completed. This style was something I was really interested in experimenting with and was building off of an earlier painting, No. 1, now lost to the ages and sadly it was my favorite personal painting of all time. Playing with thicker and more rapid brushstrokes, trying to “loosen-up” as much as possible, not sweat the details, it’s an attempt at Impressionism and I gave up on it way too soon and never got my style dialed-in. I shall explore this again.
Painting Details:
- Art Size: 30"w x 20"h
- Pre-Stretched Canvas, personally prepared with a blue tinted Gesso “under coat”
- All materials used were current “models” from mid and late 90’s
- Only used 3 brushes; Grumbacher Bristle, Flat #3, #4, #5
- Paint used; Winsor & Newton Artist Colour and Grumbacher PreTested (back when it was good), 11 different base colors mixed to hue and varying thickness
- Final painting was sealed using 2 coats of High Gloss Damar Varnish
- “Custom Frame” made of real wood, crafted and stained to Collector’s taste
This original work is a Custom piece and cannot be duplicated. Having said that, I welcome the opportunity to discuss making a similar Original Commissioned Piece (it will NOT be a copy, but shall have the same feel as the original).
All Original Artwork (Limited Edition Prints are printed and framed upon order) will be inspected, framed if needed and packaged upon order completion. Please allow up to twelve (12) business days for the "production" of your artwork before shipping. With all Original Art Piece orders, shipping is complementary within the contiguous United States and Canada. Upon ordering, a tracking number will be sent to the email provided.

If an item is damaged in transit, please email us within seven (7) days of receiving the order. Photographic evidence of the damaged artwork is required and the original packaging will be needed in order to process a replacement order.
