The Girl No. 5
"The Girl 05" is a reimagined version of a painting I did in the late 90s, a piece that was lost over time. This new version draws heavily from the original in my memory, but with a fresh approach that reflects my growth as an artist. The series itself has pushed me to embrace looser techniques and take inspiration from the great Impressionists. I’m thrilled with how this piece turned out and eager to continue developing this series.

Painting Details:
- Art Size: 38"w x 24"h
- Custom built canvas stretcher built by the Artist, prepared with 3 coats of Blick Professional Gesso and an additional original painting “under coat” of Red and Orange Oil Paint
- Brushes; Grumbacher Bristle Flat #2, #3, #4, Round #1, Winsor & Newton Bristle Filbert #2, Princeton Bristle Flat #2, #3, Davinci Kolnsky Flat #2 and Escoda Clasico Chungking White Flat #6 #8
- Paint; Winsor & Newton Artist Colour, Gamblin Artist Oil, Old Holland Oil Colors, Blockx Oil Colors and Sennelier Artist Oil. 8 different base colors mixed to hue and varying thickness. Liquin and Colbalt dryer agents used to thin paint and speed-up “drying” time
- Final painting was sealed using 2 coats of Gamvar High Gloss after two(2) month “drying” time
Custom Frame Details:
- Frame Size: 40"w x 26"h x 2.6"d
- Shadow Box style frame made of Poplar Wood by the Artist exclusively for this painting in 2021
- Shadow width ¼” from canvas to frame and the frame edge width is 3/4” wide
- Frame is Stained and Varnished with 2 coats of Antique White Satin finish
- 100lb. rated picture cable (overkill I know…) through stainless steel eye-hooks is used to hang the entire piece. (20lbs. total weight for canvas and frame)

All Original Artwork (Limited Edition Prints are printed and framed upon order) will be inspected, framed if needed and packaged upon order completion. If an item is damaged in transit, please email us within seven (7) days of receiving the order. Photographic evidence of the damaged artwork is required and the original packaging will be needed in order to process a replacement order.
